Verification Workshop

This will be a great workshop for only $45! Please join Robert Weinerman from Iron Bridge Resources as he provides updates on the following items:

  • What’s New in 2022 Taxes?
  • Federal Tax Information (FTI)
  • Consent and Approval
  • Proper Use, Labeling, and Redistribution of FTI
  • V1 Verification
  • FAFSA Data on the 2022 Tax Forms
  • Changes to the FAFSA Parent of Record and Family Size
  • Changes to FAFSA Tax Data
  • Changes to FAFSA Asset Data
  • Maximum, Minimum, & Scheduled Pell Grants
  • Maximum Pell Grant and the Foreign Earned Income Exclusion
  • Who is Required to File a Tax Return?
  • Splitting an Individual’s FAFSA Data Out of a Joint Tax Return

You will be able to ask questions throughout the day as Robert provides examples to help explain each item. The program includes real reviews of non-filers who should (and do not have to) file a tax return, a step-by-step splitting of an AGI and tax out of a joint return, actual Maximum and Minimum Pell eligibility calculations, and a case study involving Maximum Pell and the Foreign Earned Income Exclusion.

Lunch will be on your own (1 hour break) and there are food options on campus or outside of campus. Feel free to pack your lunch if you prefer! There will also be two 15-minute breaks (morning and afternoon).

We look forward to you joining us! Tri-State membership is required and you can sign up to be a member as part of the registration for this training.
